Project Description:

The Moake Park Group was awarded this design and engineering project after the County’s several unsuccessful attempts to get the project off the ground.  There were a number of constituent groups involved, all of whom had their own ideas as to where it should be, what it should be, who was in charge, and how it should be paid for.  We recommended the establishment of a “Community Corrections” panel to look at the overall community and governmental needs before addressing the specific issues pertaining to the Juvenile Center.  This process, while laborious at times, allowed everyone to have their say and fit into the big picture, and it ultimately formulated the basic decisions which enabled the Juvenile Justice Center to be constructed.  Team building and consensus building were Moake Park Group’s primary focus from beginning to end.
